Clinical Therapist:
Julia Kee is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate specializing in children with neurodevelopmental diagnoses and their families. She completed her undergraduate degree in educational psychology at Birmingham-Southern College and her master's degree in social work at the University of North Alabama. She has experience working in a variety of settings, including applied behavior analysis, inpatient psychiatric care, early intervention, and various school systems.
Julia values individualized, comprehensive care and support that empowers both the child and family to reach their maximum potential. She specializes in assisting families with understanding various diagnoses, navigating additional resources and supports, caregiver training, and individual therapy. She utilizes a systems-based approach that emphasizes the interconnectedness of a client’s biological, psychological, environmental, and social-emotional factors to best understand their needs and behaviors Julia operates from a trauma-informed, neuroaffirming approach, and believes in the dignity and worth of all people.
Outside of work, Julia enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring the outdoors, and doing any and all arts and crafts projects. She incorporates this creativity and sense of adventure into her practice, and aims to create a safe, positive, and connected space for children and families.
